Second Kart Ever Made!
This is the 2nd kart that Art Ingels made in 1956. Art is credited with being "the father of karting". The kart shown in this video is the 2nd kart he made, and it is the 1st Production Caretta kart he made. This kart was on display at the recent Vintage Karting Association event held July 21-23, 2011 at the East Lansing Karting track in Michigan. Note the hand brake (no pedal), and the small size of the kart in general.
