In the last few months, we’ve been fortunate enough to have an immense uptick in the number of new readers on Kartpulse. A good number of people have been sending in feedback via email or Facebook, asking for new features, new articles or letting us know what they think. The most common question we get though is, “Why is it a Beta?/What’s up with the site design?”

So I figured we could take a minute to discuss that, because there is a method to the madness..

When we started working on the site, we had two options. We could either spend money making a great looking interface with very little content, or we could work on building content functionality and make it look prettier later. (Clearly, we chose the latter one.) The reason for that is important though.

The goal of KartPulse is to make useable information in karting more accessible to those interested in the sport. In order to do that, we wanted to provide people access to the articles and other services on the site as soon as possible, so that we’re able to take in your feedback. We’ve been making changes throughout the site, based on tons of feedback that we’re getting from readers.

From functionality that could work better, to new features that you’d like to see, Kartpulse is being built by you guys.

That being said, we’re planning on updating the site appearance pretty soon. We’re working on some projects, in the hope to generate some funding to make the site look nicer soon. In interim, enjoy the content that’s on the site and let us know what we can do to make it better for you. We can’t do it without you, so we love to hear anything that you have to say.
