This is some of the best news to hit the midwest. The LO206 a sprint series and the Championship Eduro Series have come together to create a combined series. There are 6 classes to choose from, LO206 or Animal, sportsman, Junior, and senior, Points will be based on the combined points from both series.
The most important thing I see with this, is that two very different series have found the common ground between them and have been working together to promote karting as a sport. This says alot about the series promoters.

Championship Enduro Series Website If you are not familiar with road racing. You get to race your kart on a auto/motorcycle tracks like Blackhawk Farms, Gingerman, and Grattan. There is are classes for just about any sprint kart. It's not just sprint kart to there are road karts and super karts(think small F1). The drive gear is taller and the speeds are higher some reaching 140 mph. Try and do that in your your race prepped miata.
LO206 Cup Website: A sprint series focusing on sprint tracks in the upper midwest and the briggs and strattion racing motor. Inagural year this series was very successful in attracting top racers despite getting a late start in getting organized. Now that thier success has been noted and adding the Briggs animal classes the fields are expected to grow further.
